The NCLA Festival of Belonging is a week-long literary event across Newcastle-Gateshead, including literary events, workshops, and a writing competition for young people in the North East. The Festival will bring together writers and audiences to explore and reflect on what it means to belong; to a country, a community, a family, a place. Local poetry and music event organisers, Trashed Organ, will curate a four-day fringe festival with top local writers and musicians, through performance, workshops, competitions, and jazz. NCLA will be welcoming writers from across the globe alongside film showings and radio broadcasts.
